About Professor Jay

Professor Jay Snaric realized early in his career that his passion and talents centered around teaching and sharing information that could help others. He worked his way through college tutoring biology, chemistry, and algebra. At just 22 years old, he taught his first college level Human Anatomy and Physiology course educating future health care providers.

He earned his B.S. in human biology from East Stroudsburg State University of Pennsylvania where he graduated Summa Cum Laude with a perfect 4.0 in his major. He then went on to intensely study the human body at the prestigious Graduate School of New York University (NYU) where he earned the degree of Master of Science focusing on human physiology. He further studied molecular physiology and biochemistry at The Medical University of South Carolina (MUSC), as well as exercise physiology at Southern Illinois University (SIU).

Over the last 11 years he has been teaching Anatomy and Physiology, Nutrition, and Health and Disease courses at St. Louis Community College to students in all Health Related Degree Programs.

Professor Jay is the co-creator of My Family Plate™, as well as author of My Family Plate’s™ Weight Loss Plan for Parents.
