The Simple 7 To A Healthy Life

My Family Plate is always trying to keep up with new ways to fight heart disease. Heart disease kills more people in the United States than any other cause of death. Although heart disease cannot be eliminated for everyone, there are definitely steps we can take to decrease the occurrence of it. The American Heart Association (AHA) recently added Life’s Simple 7. The Simple 7 is a great patient educator, so we thought we would share it with you. Please share them with someone else. The more we can educate those around us the bigger impact we can have on making positive changes in our health and the health of our country and world!

1. Get Active
2. Control Cholesterol
3. Eat Better
4. Manage Blood Pressure
5. Lose Weight
6. Reduce Blood Sugar
7. Stop Smoking
Maybe the Simple 7 aren’t all simple, but they offer a place to start.
